The Malay Archipelago: a Land and a Book
This project addresses the reception of modern science in general and natural sciences in particular among Muslims from the Middle East to Southeast Asia. In so doing, the works of the 19th-century naturalists like Alfred Russel Wallace will be considered. His “The Malay Archipelago” is the subject of our discussions.
